Abstract:		 Oxford Archaeology East was commissioned to field walk and evaluate part of a 10 hectare site north of Balsham by Camgrain Stores Ltd. The fieldwalking revealed part of a series of post pits forming a circular enclosure thought to be a prehistoric timber circle. A small excavation was carried out on circle, whose full extent was revealed by extending the stripped area. The evaluation trenches only revealed signs of modern ploughing. The field walking exercise on the rest of the site only discovered one small piece of worked flint.
