Abstract:		 An archaeological field evaluation by trial trenching was undertaken on land off The Fleet, Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) in advance of proposed construction of residential dwellings with associated landscaping and infrastructure. Nineteen trial trenches were excavated in an area defined as having moderate archaeological potential. The trial trenching revealed no evidence of archaeological finds or deposits. The site archive will be held with Leicestershire County Council under accession number X.A38.2010
