Abstract:		 Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd were commisssioned by Western Power Ltd to undertake a watching brief during the installation of an electricity cable and substation at Ludlow Castle underneath the public footpath known as 'Castle Walk'. No archaeological remains relating to the medieval castle were discovered but evidence of a late 17th century tree lined avenue following the line of the current footpath was observed.
