Abstract: |
An archaeological 'watching brief' was carried out on 29th September 2009 by Fern Archaeology during ground works associated with a development at 87 Main Street, Bishop Wilton, East Riding of Yorkshire. Two archaeological features were identified, both possibly pits. Neither contained any dating evidence, though at least one pre-dated the formation of the topsoil. A small amount of unstratified material was found, including one sherd of medieval pottery and a piece of clay tobacco pipe of 17th-century date. |
