Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out on the site of an extension to the property at 417 High Street, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, LN5 8NW. The development site is located on the east side of the High Street in the south of Lincoln City. It lies within the City's Newark Road Character Area, but not within any of the City's Conservation Areas. It is centred on NGR: SK 9724 7013. No features of archaeological significance were found during the monitoring. A small collection of finds was retrieved from two contexts, which included pottery, tile and bone. The earliest of these finds was a piece of medieval tile. The rest was all post medieval in date. |
