Abstract:		 Northern Archaeological Associates Ltd (NAA) was commissioned by Cumbria County Council, with the support of Natural England, to undertake an archaeological survey of land at Nenthead Mines, Nenthead, Cumbria (NGR NY 7865 4325). The survey was undertaken to inform a management plan for the site, which looked at threats to the identified archaeological resource and established mitigation measures for its preservation (Countryside Consultants 2013). The project area comprises a lead mining area and Scheduled Monument covering 48 hectares.
