Abstract:		 NO 22881 27018 to NO 22181 26925 A watching brief was kept on 4 November 2014 during the excavation of nine trenches for poles and a few associated stays on a new overhead power line to the N of the village of Rait. The only feature of interest was at NO 22698 26997 where a spread of cobbles was uncovered at the base of the topsoil at the end of one trench.
