Abstract:		 3 trenches located to evaluate the potential of archaeological remains on a site near the medieval core of the village of Preston, Rutland. 19th century maps show several buildings across the development site, none of which were identified during the evaluation. The lack of any building or demolition remains may suggest that the site has been lowered removing all traces.
