Abstract:		 AOC Archaeology Group was commissioned by McLaren, Murdoch and Hamilton Chartered Architects on behalf of their client to undertake an archaeological evaluation on a proposed development at Kew Terrace, West Coates, Edinburgh (NGR: NT 2319 7317). Works consisted of an archaeological evaluation of three trenches totalling 25 linear metres. Substantial deposit of made ground and demolition material covered the site. The evaluation revealed no archaeological remains associated with the 19th century industrial development of the site. No further archaeological investigations will therefore be recommended within the development area. This will require confirmation by, and be at the discretion of, John Lawson of CECAS.
