Abstract:		 In December 2013 the Archaeology Service, Shropshire Council carried out a strip, map and sample exercise at Weeping Cross, Shrewsbury. The investigations accompanied initial groundworks for the Shrewsbury Business Park, Phase 2 Extension, and were intended to investigate the site of a cropmark ring ditch (HER PRN 04162). A number of shallow features of probable agricultural origin were recorded, but no trace of the cropmark ring ditch was seen.
