Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment undertaken by University of Leicester Archaeological Services for proposed development at Manor Farm, Main Street, Tugby, Leicestershire (Browning 2013) highlighted surviving earthworks which were surveyed in 1992 and have been interpreted as a possible manor house with associated terraces and gardens. At the request of Leicestershire County Council, Historic and Natural Environment Team, as advisors to the planning authority an additional earthwork survey has been undertaken to assess the condition of the earthworks. This has confirmed that the earthworks are relatively well preserved and any archaeological deposits are likely to be relatively undisturbed |
