Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring work was carried out for Valleycraft Ltd, in support of construction work on land at 54 Eglinton Street, Beith, North Ayrshire (Planning Ref: 13/00357/PP). The works uncovered the remains of a 19th century building in the form of a cellar with an associated rear boundary wall. The remains of the building and boundary wall had been backfilled with a number of layers of building rubble mixed with domestic refuse dating to the 20th century. No significant archaeological features or artefacts were identified within the site. |
