Abstract: |
Two sets of footings alongside house dug for extensions. Site visited after Trenches excavated. C.0.4m of topsoil over natural yellow sand. Two features, see plan + sections attached. 0003, Linear pit deepest in drawn section tailing up from east to west. Fill of mid brown sand. Looked old but no finds (spoil already levelled on open ground but driven over) dr). Feature 0002 0.7m deep flat bottom with lots of charcoal. Some burnt stone. Large piece of pot recovered from base of feature, bone next to it. |
