Abstract:		 monitoring of trenches excavated for groundbeams associated with an extension to the existing premises revealed only made-ground deposits. two distinct layers were evident, an upper modern spread of material over a darker material containing 19th century brick rubble. Occasional 19th century building footings were noted. These are associated with a former public house demolished in the second half of the 20th century
