Abstract: |
NN 64145 13112 A watching brief was kept on 30 June 2015 during the excavation of a section of the penstock for a new hydro-electric scheme on the Keltie Water to the N of Callander. It had been hoped to avoid the remains of a short surviving length of drystone dyke during this process but very wet conditions forced the trench to be widened, thus destroying the west end of the wall. No information concerning the function or extent of the wall was uncovered. J Lewis 2015 |
