Abstract: |
The watching brief monitored the hand excavation of a large area of ground reduction to reach formation level followed by the hand excavation of fifteen postholes which were to receive some upright RSJ's to support the compost unit. The greatest depth of impact was only 0.50m below ground level, and as such the works did not penetrate below garden soil horizons, in the process of which some small cuts containing mortar were seen along with an antiquated path. |
