Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological standing building survey of an outbuilding at Home Farm, Wicken, Northamptonshire (SP 74276 39276), commissioned from Archaeological Building Recording Services (ABRS) by Mr and Mrs Edmondson in advance of the proposed conversion of the building to residential use. Home Farmhouse dates from the early 18th century, a mid 19th century tithe map of the village records an outbuilding occupying the same footprint as the current outbuilding. This historic building recording observed no evidence that the current building dates to this period. The physical evidence indicates that the building is late 19th or early 20th century in date, built of local stone and red brick. The first edition Ordnance Survey of 1881 does not show a building in this location. It is possible that the building was built on the footprint of the earlier building, possibly utilising any remaining standing walls. It is possible that the building was built as a cow hovel and later converted to a cart shed with a granary above, a common agricultural design. The size and style of the building, is however grand. It is possible that the tenant of Home Farm at the time was more than a common farmer and attempted to reflect this in the building.
