Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Worcestershire Historic Environment and Archaeology Service in November 2005 at Hopyard Farm, Defford, Worcestershire (NGR SO 9066 4119; WSM 34773). A sample trench was excavated over a linear anomaly detected via geophysical survey in order to access the impact of a proposed fishing lake development. Apart from modern farming activity in the form of a land drain, there is little sign of earlier human occupation, and so the development does not pose a threat to any significant archaeological remains. |
