Abstract:		 This report describes the results of an archaeological trial trench evaluation carried out by Pre-Construct Archaeology on Land at Upwood Airfield, Ramsey, Cambridgeshire (NGR TL 27098 84760) between the 26th and the 29th of October 2015. The archaeological work was commissioned by CgMs Consulting Ltd on behalf of Ramsey Solar Ltd in response to a planning condition attached to the construction of a new solar farm with associated access and landscaping. The aim of the work was to characterize the archaeological potential of the proposed development area. The principal result of the evaluation was the discovery of small numbers of undated ditches of similar alignment, which are likely to represent field boundaries and land division in the post-medieval to modern periods. No other features of archaeological interest were uncovered.
