Abstract:		 In January 2011, an archaeological evaluation was carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology on land at Church Lane, Deanshanger, Northamptonshire. The evaluation was carried out in response to the submission of a planning application for the erection of a single dwelling. The evaluation revealed a medieval pit, a medieval stone wall and pond or quarry pit, and a 17th-century rubbish pit. The ground appears to have remained as either paddock or under cultivation for many years
