The programme of archaeological fieldwork undertaken at the site revealed evidence of scaffolding pits associated with the building of the Congregational Chapel; 21 articulated human burials from both within the chapel and outside in the burial ground; and a pit which pre-dates the building of the chapel. Natural was observed in this area at c. 111.94 m OD. All the finds and features were of a post-medieval date.
