Abstract: |
Probable and possible archaeological responses have been identified across both sections of the site. Anomalies that correlate in position to crop marks and features on 1803 maps have been observed which are probably caused by historic field boundaries. A number of positive linear and some smaller curvi-linear anomalies are also present across the whole survey area. These may relate to cut features of an archaeological origin. Other anomalies identified have a modern origin and natural origin including ploughing, scattered magnetic debris and areas of natural magnetic variation. |
