Abstract:		 An Archaeological Strip, Map and Sample was undertaken to ascertain whether any archaeological deposits would be disturbed by the proposed two storey front and side extension to the domestic building at Old Barn Farm, Husbands Bosworth (NGR: SP64197 82301). Leicestershire County Council, Historic and Natural Environment Team (LCCHNET) as archaeological advisors to the planning authority required the work to be undertaken to assess the location, extent, significance and character of any buried archaeological remains in the area of the proposed extension (Planning Application 14/01135/FUL). No deposits of clear archaeological origin were observed or disturbed by the groundworks. The archive will be held by Leicestershire Museums Service under the Accession Number X.A5.2015.
