Note:
Palaeoenvironmental evaluation of natural deposits encountered under Made Ground within former site of Stoke City Football Club, Victoria Ground, Stoke. Windowless sampling drill rig was used to extract 11 cores to a depth of up to 8m. Organic-rich silkts commonly encountered in boreholes positioned along a palaeoechannel route, likely to have been infilled in the early 20th century. Relatively low palaeoenvironmental potential. Pollen assessments recommended, supported by radiocarbon dating
