Abstract: |
A watching brief monitoring remediation works on emergency stabilisation works caused by a landslip on land at Farnley Grange, West Lodge, Corbridge. Stabilisation required coring to assess ground stability, the excavation of an access ramp, and a sloping 30 degree incline around the perimeter of the landslip to assist in consolidating the unstable ground. The watching brief occurred within the boundaries of Farnley Grange Scheduled Monument (NHLE 1009156) and all groundworks were carried out under Class 5 Consent. Farnley Grange Scheduled Monument consists of three Roman Temporary Camps. No evidence of the Camps were identified during the watching brief. |
