Abstract: |
Footpath upgrading work close to the W side of Chapel Euny Well in 2013 prompted a measured survey of the site followed by a watching brief. No archaeological features were discovered or any artefacts found. A chapel recorded in the 18th century was demolished before the late 19th century. Although there are no above-ground traces of the chapel it is likely that an angle in a hedge E of the well marks a corner of its site. |
