Abstract:		 Headland Archaeology Ltd was commissioned by the City of Edinburgh Council to undertake an archaeological watching brief on improvement works undertaken on Constitution Street Leith, Edinburgh. The work involved road and footway resurfacing, alterations to kerb lines and gully repairs. The original design included the planting of trees, however, these were abandoned due to the presence of services. Excavation for road resurfacing generally did not exceed 0.17m. No archaeological remains were encountered during the works.
