Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 12.4 hectares of grassland. A former ring ditch and enclosure have been identified, along with areas of ridge and furrow cultivation and historic field boundaries. Further linear anomalies are of possible archaeological origin, however they may also relate to agricultural activity. Possible former pits are of possible archaeological or natural origin. The remaining features are natural or modern in origin and include underground services, a footpath, magnetic debris and disturbance from nearby ferrous objects and magnetic spikes that are likely to be modern rubbish. |
