Watching brief observations made during ground-works associated with the demolition and rebuilding of Wickham Hall on the Bishop Grosseteste University campus in Lincoln. Observations were made of the archaeological stratification at the site and an interpretation of two features was undertaken with reference to archaeological and historical context. A linear feature, probably of post-medieval date, was recorded as well as the edge of a large quarry pit of likely post-medieval or early 20th century date. | |||||||||||
