Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained over earthworks associated with driveway repairs at Drum Castle, Aberdeenshire. A drainage trench at the side of the drive cut across a substantial stone wall, 2.25m wide, and apparently running N/S at NJ 79655 00546. It was sealed by a burnt layer. An abraded sherd of medieval or post-medieval pottery was found in the disturbed backfill of the later drain. |
