Abstract: |
Albion Archaeology were commissioned to deal with the archaeological elements of the proposed construction of a detached dwelling and creation of an associated access road. The evaluation identified previously known cropmarks recorded on the Central Bedfordshire and Luton Historic Environmental Record (HER 743) as elements of an early-middle Iron Age settlement. The well preserved, early-middle Iron Age settlement site is of regional significance. The limited investigations recovered a relatively small assemblage of finds which does not require further analysis. |
