Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 4 hectares of grassland. The survey identified a number of anomalies of probable archaeological origin. These include features that relate to known earthworks, a former pond, former field boundaries and an area of ridge and furrow cultivation. A possible archaeological pit has been identified; however it is not possible to determine it's origin with any degree of confidence. The remaining anomalies are of modern origin, relating to former field boundaries, a former building, land drains, scattered magnetic debris, made ground, ferrous objects and fencing. |
