Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 33 hectares of agricultural land. A single curvilinear feature crosses the northern section of the survey area, and this has been identified as the border to a medieval deer park, recorded in the Wiltshire Historic Environment Record (HER). No other features of archaeological origin were identified. Other modern and natural features have also been identified including agriculture, utilities, land-drains, field boundaries, areas of magnetic disturbance, scattered magnetic debris and spikes as well as areas of amorphous variation, probably the result of historic fluvial action. |
