Abstract: |
Trenched evaluation of an area of land that is to form part of a larger residential development revealed that much of the area was disturbed by late 19th/early 20th gravel extraction. It was noted that the former garden/yard areas to the rear of buildings fronting the High Street was undisturbed and that there was therefore the potential for archaeological features to survive in this zone. |
