Abstract:		 In April 2015 Archaeological Solutions Ltd (AS) carried out an evaluation adjacent to 80 Berkeley Close, Ware, Hertfordshire. The evaluation was undertaken in compliance with a condition attached to planning approval for the demolition of garages and construction of 2 two-storey houses with additional parking and landscaping. The evaluation revealed Wall M1029, ?Cellar M1016, modern linears (F1018 and F1020) and modern pits (F1023 and F1025), and a modern service (F1013). (The 19th century features are shown on later 19th century OS maps as a building at the north end of the Cannon Maltings.)
