Abstract:		 In September 2017 Archaeological Solutions Ltd (AS) carried out a programme of monitoring and recording to the rear of 19 Shillington Road, Pirton, Hitchin, Hertfordshire. This was undertaken in compliance with a condition attached to planning approval for construction of an extension to an existing outbuilding. No archaeological features or finds were present. The site stratigraphy appeared intact and had archaeology been present it would likely have been preserved.
