Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological excavation undertaken in advance of the construction of a sand school exposed part of a small rectangular enclosure of probable 1st-2nd Century AD date. It is likely to be military in origin. It was reused within the Romano-British period for probable agricultural purposes, later becoming incorporated into a long northeast-southwest aligned boundary. A total of five phases of activity were identified.
