Abstract:		 Headland Archaeology undertook a watching brief along the proposed route of the extension to the Edinburgh tram route, on behalf of McNicholas. A series of trial holes were excavated for the purpose of locating services and establishing the archaeological potential of the proposed works. During the watching brief no archaeological remains were discovered due to the large amount of previous utilities works in the areas targeted.
