Abstract:		 South West Archaeology Ltd. was approached by Matthew Brooke of English Heritage (the Client) to undertake emergency recording work on the first floor plaster ceiling within Dartmouth Castle, prior to its replacement. While the ceiling was replaced in the 20th century, a series of scratch marks were replicated from an earlier ceiling, and partition marks are evident. This abbreviated record provides a succinct record of the recording undertaken, and is intended to inform and guide repair and replacement work on the site. The work took place in August 2016 and the recording work was undertaken by E Wapshott. The camera used was a Pentax K100D using a Pentax 18-55 lens.
