Abstract:		 Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by the Cavanna Group to carry out an archaeological evaluation at the site of the former Mount Foundry, Parkwood Road, Devon (centred on Ordnance Survey NGR SX 48620 74700). The work was required to meet a planning condition imposed by the Local Planning Authority (Planning Application No. 8857/2006/TAV and 8858/2006/TAV), for redevelopment of the site, involving demolition of industrial buildings, change of use of former foundry building to dwellings and erection of 32 new dwellings.
