Abstract: |
Between the 24th and 25th April 2018 Oxford Archaeology East undertook an archaeological evaluation at Peck's Coppice, Hilton, Cambridgeshire (centred TL 2926 6641). Two Trenches were excavated, one within the development footprint and one outside that of the existing building. The Trenches revealed a single medieval drainage ditch and a shallow, possibly medieval, pit. The features, also the sealing layers of subsoil and topsoil, yielded a small assemblage of finds including medieval pottery, modern ceramic building material, clinker and some faunal skeletal remains. |
