Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation consisting of two trial trenches was undertaken prior to the erection of a neweco-dwelling in an area adjacent to a medieval moated site. No archaeological features were present in the trenches suggesting that the site had most likely been in agricultural use from at least the medieval period
