Abstract: |
In May-June 2016 a programme of Archaeological Observation and Recording and Photographic Survey was undertaken at the Church of St James the Great, High Wych Road, High Wych, Hertfordshire as a Faculty requirement in association with the construction of a kitchenette in the church and associated drainage. No archaeological features, artefacts or deposits were revealed during the course of the project other than the foundations of the church tower. This is in part due to the depth of the trenches, but also that the site lay outside the developed settlement prior to the church being built. |
