Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in March 2016, monitoring groundworks in advance of the construction of a new dwelling in the former rear garden of 64 Front Street, East Boldon, Tyne and Wear. The watching brief was undertaken in response to a condition placed on planning permission (ST/0171/15/FUL), against the potential disturbance of previously unidentified archaeological remains relating to the medieval and post-medieval village of Boldon.
