The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken at Barnwood Road Hucclecote, Gloucester (NGR SO 8639 1808; GCM 1615). The proposed development area does not present any clear threat to the archaeological record, despite this being in the vicinity of Iron Age and Roman sites. The only structure worthy of note is the brick foundation for an isolation hospital which is documented on the first edition Ordnance Survey map for Barnwood, 1884. The remainder of the investigated area is substantially disturbed by quarry rubble deposits, and by landscaped soils and building materials discarded during the construction of the British Energy office complex.
