Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 1.8 hectares of grassland. No features of probable archaeological origin have been identified on the site. Linear anomalies and possible backfilled pits have been detected, though the exact origin of these features cannot be determined with accuracy. Areas of amorphous magnetic variation may be natural in origin, though their parallel form suggests that they could be evidence of ridge and furrow cultivation. The remaining features are modern and include areas of natural variation, magnetic spikes, underground services and magnetic disturbance from nearby fencing. |
