Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 1 hectare of grassland. No features of probable archaeological origin have been identified, despite the potential for prehistoric and medieval remains. Two linear features have been detected, one of which may be archaeological in origin be of prehistoric or medieval origin, though a natural origin cannot be ruled out. The second feature is likely to be related to agricultural activity, though may equally be archaeological in origin. Evidence of ridge and furrow suggest the site has been used for agricultural purposes since the medieval period. The remaining features are modern and include a footpath, underground service, and magnetic disturbance from nearby ferrous objects. |
