Abstract: |
Terrain Archaeology observed the excavation of a cable duct trench at Barrington Court, Barrington, Somerset. No significant archaeology was revealed and the results confirm that most of the course of the new trench was dug through former agricultural land prior to the construction of the new estate layout of 1921-5. A heavy clay deposit next to the present ponds relates to the changes to the watercourses and features made as part of the 1920s estate layout. |
