Abstract: |
A second phase of archaeological evaluation was undertaken by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) on behalf of Leicester City Council in advance of redevelopment at Friars Mill, Bath Lane, Leicester. The site lies within the north-west quarter of the Roman and medieval walled town and has high potential for the survival of archaeological remains, particularly relating to the defences of early Leicester. A further two trenches were excavated in response to new proposals for buildings in the south-east and north-west corners of the development area. |
