A watching brief during the groundworks for the extension of a house in an area of known Roman artefacts from the fort of Condercum. The investigation revealed evidence of previous archaeological investigations carried out in the 1930's. Several roman building walls were uncovered, one of the walls contained a stone bearing the crude carving of a phallus.

Following the construction of a disabled toilet in the church, sewer pipes were lain through the church yard; the pipe trench was dug by mini-digger; archaeologists supervised the intrusive ground works and carried out small-scale excavatioons where the need arose.

A desk top study on the former Team Hemp Ropery site, Dunston. Tracing the history of the ropery site using documentary archives prior to an evaluation.

An Archaeological evaluation was conducted by Ian Farmer Associates Archaeological Services in 2007 on behalf of the owner in advance of proposed garage building. The area of development lay in the vicinity of the Roman Road of Dere Street. Two trial trenches were excavated. The first trench revealed little evidence of the Roman Road or any significant archaeological deposits. The second trench revealed two ditches, the eastern ditch may have been recut at least twice. No trances of the road appear to have survived. An alternative suggestion for the eastern ditch may be a robber trench for a stone culvert. No further work is recommended.

A watching brief carried out over one day; the general soil profiles of a new wall cut and several service trences were recorded, but no archaeological importance was noted.
